We build the network your business runs on — and keep it running.
That means the cabling in the walls, the switches and segmentation, the WiFi that covers the whole space, and the secure links between your sites. Then we administer and monitor it after the build. Design, build, run: the whole thing, or the piece you're missing.
A network is easy to take for granted — until it's the thing standing between your team and their work. When the cabling, the switches, or the wireless is where the problem lives, everything running on top of it stops too.
Getting that foundation right takes real engineering: a cable plant designed and tested to spec, a switching layer with traffic deliberately separated, wireless planned around how the space is actually used, and a configuration documented so it can be understood and maintained. We do that work whether we're building from scratch or taking over a network that's outgrown how it was first set up.
What we do
Structured cabling & physical installation. The cable plant is the foundation. We design it, run it, terminate it, test it to spec, label it, and document it. Good cabling is invisible and lasts a decade. Bad cabling is the reason for the mystery drops nobody can explain.
Switching, VLANs & segmentation. Your network doesn't need to be flat. Separating traffic — workstations, servers, guest devices, point-of-sale or clinical equipment — keeps a problem in one slice of the network instead of everywhere at once. We design the switching layer and the segmentation policy, then configure and manage it.
Business WiFi. A site survey first, then access point placement for coverage and capacity, not just signal strength on paper. No dead zones. Devices that roam without dropping. Guest and IoT traffic on their own network, off the business segment.
WAN, VPN & multi-site. If you have more than one location, or people working outside the office, they need a real connection back to the business — not a consumer VPN someone installed one afternoon. We build and manage the wide-area links and secure remote access that tie your sites and your people together.
Ongoing administration & remote management. Once the network is built, we manage it: firmware, configuration changes, performance monitoring, and the kind of proactive care that catches issues before users notice them.
Why it matters
Uptime. A network that's engineered to spec — with redundancy where it counts and a documented configuration — fails less often and recovers faster when something does go wrong. You stop relying on whoever installed it to have any idea what's in there.
Security through segmentation. Flat networks are a gift to anyone who gets a foothold. When your guest WiFi, your IoT devices, your workstations, and your servers live in properly isolated segments, a problem stays contained. This is one of the most effective things you can do for your security posture without adding a single security appliance.
Room to grow. Opening a second location, adding remote workers, onboarding a new class of devices — each of these is a straightforward extension of a well-designed network. Each is a project on a poorly designed one.
A foundation that lasts. Good network infrastructure doesn't need to be replaced every three years. It needs to be managed. We build to last and document everything, so nothing lives only in someone's head.
Explore the solutions
We break network engineering into focused areas — each has its own page:
- Structured Cabling & the Physical Layer — design, installation, certified testing, labeling, and documentation.
- Network Segmentation & Isolation — VLANs, guest/IoT/payment isolation, and the policy layer that keeps traffic contained.
- Reliable WiFi Everywhere — site survey, access point design, seamless roaming, and a separate guest network.
- Multi-Site & Secure Remote Access — WAN links, site-to-site and remote-access connections, one network to manage across all your locations.
We watch it, too
Building and administering the network is one half. The other half is watching it continuously — monitoring for degradation, outages, and anomalies before they become incidents. That's our NOC & Network Monitoring service: the same team, watching the same infrastructure, around the clock.
And segmentation isn't just a reliability play. Isolating traffic by type — especially guest, IoT, and payment systems — is one of the strongest things you can do for your security posture. The two disciplines reinforce each other.
How we help
We work with small and mid-sized businesses across the New York Metro and the Puget Sound (Seattle) area — companies in offices, multi-site operations, and teams with people working remotely. Whether you need a full network build from the cable plant up, a refresh of infrastructure that's gotten out of hand, or ongoing management of what you already have, we scope the work to what you actually need.
If you're not sure where to start, we'll take a look and give you a straight read.
Start with a look at your network
Tell us what you're running, what's giving you trouble, or what you're planning to build — we'll give you a straight assessment and a clear scope. Reach Amoeba Networks whichever way is easiest:
